An Auditory Processing Disorder effects the processing or interpretation of information picked up by then ear as sound as it travels to the brain. Children and adults with this learning difference often do not pick up or recognize the subtle difference between sounds in words, even when sounds are words are spoken loud and clear. Many mistake this learning disability for stupid and lack of focus, leaving a child to feel alone and foolish.
